"Chris Olson is more than a bike builder. Each bike begins as a vision, birthed in his heart. His ability to envision a finished work of art before it is built is a gift" Chris Olson started designing and building bikes 10 years ago. He moved to Washington State from Hollywood. He spent the first part of his life playing drums and touring with bands Citizen Kane and Psycho Squad. He had his first record deal at age 18. His life was literally sex, drugs and rock and roll. After moving to Washington in 1991 with his wife and family, Chris had a life changing experience and he dedicated his life to Jesus Christ. Soon after, his creative juices started to flow out in other areas besides music. He designed his first project "Purple Haze", a 1926 T-bucket roadster that started out as a rusty bucket with a frame, and ended up becoming an award winning work of art. Chris has always had a passion for bikes and an eye for design. This motivated him to build his first chopper a 1964 Panhead. He stretched both frame and tank, fabricating his own pipes and fenders long before choppers were a "hit". The local bikers thought he was crazy, but when the chopper was finished it spoke for itself. From there, Chris continued to design and build bikes out of his shop for a hobby. In 2003 Chris and his wife Tammy opened a shop in Spokane with long time friends Dave and Pam Mustaine. The bike shop opened the doors for Chris to start building bikes at a different level. Every bike that Chris has designed and built has been a work of art. That is what sets Chris Olson Customs apart from the rest. |
